Recycle Hawaii works to divert "Still Good" Latex Paint from the landfill by accepting it for free at three of its Reuse Centers year round, as well as, holding collections for it during three (3) of the County of Hawaii's Household Hazardous Waste Collections. We offer the "Still Good" latex paint for sale at the Hilo, Keaʻau and Waimea Reuse Centers.
Recycle-Bowl, sponsored by Keep America Beautiful (KAB), is a national school recycling competition open to K-12 schools. This program is a great way to kick start or improve recycling at your school. Awards for Recycle-Bowl in Hawai‘i are donated by local businesses.
GET THE DRIFT & BAG IT! is Hawaiʻi’s contribution to the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) which started in 1986. Ocean Conservancy’s ICC engages volunteer organizations and individuals to remove trash and debris from the world’s BEACHES & WATERWAYS.
We are able to keep our education and outreach efforts free to the public through the proceeds raised from donated items we resell at one of out 6 Reuse Centers located around the island.
