About Us

Our Mission

To educate the Hawaii Island communities on recycling and waste reduction activities for a more environmentally sustainable future

Recycling since 1992

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization, helping our Hawaii Island communities REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE since 1992 and our grassroot efforts date back further, to 1987

Our Work

We offer free recycling educational services for all Hawai`i Island communities. This is made possible through our dedicated volunteers, generous donors & proceeds from the six (6) Reuse Centers we manage under contract with the County of Hawai`i.

2016 Achievements
Our long-term goal is to facilitate a massive shift in consciousness that favors resource management over waste generation and disposal.
In 2016, Recycle Hawaii worked towards fulfilling its mission and long term goal through its programs and services. These are just some of our achievements.
