Biography
Aloha my name is Kona smith I am a zero waste youth advocate from kaū on the island of Hawaii. I joined this program because I wanted to make a change in my community and actually preserve the history and values of my home. It’s important because throughout my journey I not only learned a lot but I got to experience many different aspects and it changed how I was able to perceive what’s actually going on in my hometown, we also want to inspire other youth to follow in our steps and teach other that zero waste has value if you work hard enough. I am the social media manager/ videographer in my team.
