Biography
Aloha, My name is Devin Alpin. I am a student athlete and a senior of Ka’u High School and a zero waste youth advocate of Malama `Aina Compostable. I was born and raised in Ka’u on the Big Island of Hawaii. The main reason why I wanted to join and commit to this program is to reduce waste from the landfill and to help out my community and to keep our community safe. I’ve been seeing our environment/ aina getting messy and not being taken care of and that is why it is my job and my program to keep our aina clean. So I want other people to know and understand why keeping our aina safe and clean is very important to me and the people that have lived here for a long time.
