Ahlyna Flores

Biography

Aloha, I’m Ahlyna Mae Flores a junior in Ka’u high and part of Malama Aina Compostable. I live in Naalehu and I am studying in Ka’u high and pahala elementary school. I discovered this program through my friends and decided to join because I want to try new things and because my friends are in it. But as time went by I found a purpose to stay and learn more about our aina. This is important for me because having the knowledge how to make our aina better is a privilege for the future generation. I experience a lot in this program as I serve as the photographer, graphic designer, videographer, interview and public speaking. Beside being in this program I also love playing soccer as I’m part of our soccer team in our school. I also love the feeling of dancing and have an experience in competing in different schools. Lastly, I play Tower of Hanoi, a mathematical puzzle that we need to solve by a set of disks. Overall, this program shaped me in different ways and I hope you support our work along the way.
