Recycle Hawai’i collaborates with island communities on education and effective climate action that transforms a culture of waste into one supporting a vibrant planet.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization, helping our Hawaii Island communities REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE since 1992 and our grassroot efforts date back further, to 1987. Recycle Hawai’i pioneered Transfer Station Reuse Centers and continues to deliver and advocate innovative waste diversion opportunities for the residents of Hawai’i.
We offer free recycling educational services for all Hawai`i Island communities. Check our guide for residents on where to take still good stuff and where to recycle materials to keep them out of our landfills.
