Location: The Makery in Downtown Hilo (corner of Keawe & Kalakaua Sts.)
CAPture REUSE & RECYCLING! This family friendly event features:

• Hands-on demonstration of how plastic bottle caps are made into a new object
• Free CAPture product sample (while limited supplies last)
* Recycle Hawaii community information and outreach

PROJECT GOALS:
    • To promote recycling
    • To divert plastic that often ends up in landfill into the recycle stream
    • To reuse plastic locally to teach students about engineering and design
Connections Public Charter School students and teachers will demonstrate how they took plastic bottle caps and transformed them into new objects using design, machinery and engineering methods.
The CAPture Bottle Cap Reclamation Project is an educational community
collaboration by Connections Public Charter School Makery Project & Recycle Hawai‘i with funding support from Atherton Family Foundation – Hawaii Community Foundation.
