Get the Drift & Bag It! Update

The Annual International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) by Ocean Conservancy is underway. Get the Drift and Bag It, our part in the ICC, is beginning to see data from different cleanups begin to roll in. It’s not too late to organize a clean up and be apart of this great campaign. Oct. 14th Closures for Ironman

Recycle Hawaii’s Kealakehe|Kona Reuse Center will be closed on October 14th for Ironman. We will reopen on the next day.  The County of Hawaii’s Puanahulu Landfill in Waikoloa and the Kealakehe|Kona Recycling and Transfer Station will also be closed on October 14th. Regular services will still be available at the Keauhou Recycling and Transfer Station including our Keauhou Recycle Hawaii Reuse Center. We’re happy to announce that our Where To Recycle Directory For Residents is live! We have organized the directory into common materials and then by areas served. We will be working to improve these resource and your feedback is welcome and very much appreciated. Over the next month we will be working to verify all our listed recycling vendors in order to make sure our directory is up to date and as accurate as we can make it for you all.
